Paul Pierce Tossed In Game 1 Of Celtics-Heat Series, Good Call?
You can already tell that Boston vs Miami will be an intense second round series, at least if you look at the opening game as your starting point.
With two teams that clearly do not like each other, and with LeBron James looking for revenge, there were already plenty of interesting storylines in this matchup. After the fourth quarter of Game 1, it’s gotten even better.
In the span of just over a minute, Paul Pierce got himself mixed up with both James Jones and Dwyane Wade, drawing two technicals and an automatic ejection. The first call was the result of a “face rub” given to Jones after a hard foul, while the second was considered “verbal taunting” directed at Wade after the Miami star tried to run right through a Pierce screen.
